- Temporary Deadlock ensure data is locked upon write but can be unlocked and modified with special authorizations. New data can be incrementally written to disk and subsequently locked.
- Incremental Deadlock ensures data is locked when written, but new data can be incrementally added to the disk volume and locked upon write.
- Permanent Deadlock ensures data is written to disk and subsequently permanently locked at some point in time. Once locked the disk volume is permanently locked and no new data can be written to it.
